MAINTAINING TRAFFIC

While the improvements are being constructed along South Moreland Boulevard, Shaker Square, and North Moreland Boulevard, traffic will be maintained through the use of part-width construction methods (contractor will build one side of the road at a time, while providing travel and parking lanes on the other side of the road) and through the use of detour routes.  The project will be constructed in 3 stages, with each stage being complete prior to starting the next stage, as described below.

Stage 1 - Phase 1

Stage 1 - Phase 2

Stage 2 - Shaker Square to Larchmere Boulevard

Stage 2 will construct North Moreland Boulevard from Shaker Square to Larchmere Boulevard using part-width construction that will maintain a single travel lane in each direction and a single parking lane throughout construction.

Stage 2 - Phase 1

Stage 2 - Phase 2

Stage 3 - Drexmore Road through Shaker Square

Stage 3 will construct South Moreland Boulevard from Drexmore Road to Shaker Square as well as improvements within Shaker Square.
